The STEMersion Institute immerses select teachers and school counselors in the region’s leading industries, connecting classroom instruction with real-world application. Through direct engagement with top employers, participants gain insight that helps shape high-impact, relevant, and thought-provoking lessons and projects for their students.

Educators accepted into the program go “under the hood” of premier regional facilities, experiencing firsthand how formulas, theories, and concepts are applied in today’s workplace. Participants take part in hands-on workplace simulations and collaborative lesson-development activities that highlight the critical role Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math play in the Tri-County region’s workforce and economic growth.

Participants also hear directly from employers about the importance of soft skills—such as communication, teamwork, and problem-solving—in long-term career success. STEMersion Institute participants serve as a vital bridge between industry and the classroom, enriching educational experiences and helping prepare students for a bright future in the region’s evolving workforce.
